Thanks for letting us know about this – we cap numbers to ensure a friendly, interactive learning environment and speak to all learners before we enrol anyone so we can balance groups and encourage students to engage with the live learning opportunities. We are constantly reviewing our courses and we optimise group sizes for example attendance can be impacted at holiday times. We have changed how we manage group numbers over the past year on Level 5 and 7 in particular and recent learner feedback implies it’s working well but we’ll keep an eye out for this.
What would have most helped to improve your experience?
Thanks Anna – yes we agree – you were in one of the earlier cohorts on this programme and I think we have the balance working better now and we will constantly review this. Most of our live webinars are lively and interactive now even on the smaller groups. We know from experience that the learners who gain the most impact from their course are the ones who engage with the live sessions, complete formative work and embrace the 121 coaching sessions and other learning opportunities which are included as part of our CIPD Boost programme so we are very mindful of this. Thank you for sharing this insight – we appreciate it!
