CIPD Learner Case Study
Level 5 Associate Diploma in Organisational L&D
Iffaf Khan
Thank you to Iffaf Khan one of our lovely CIPD Level 5 L&D learners for completing our case study questionnaire. We’re thrilled to see these outcomes for Iffaf and her organisation.
Thanks so much. What level did you complete?
Associate
Did we deliver to your expectations?
Yes – Definitely
All things considered, how would you rate your course?
9 / 10
What has been the main impact on YOU from studying for your CIPD qualification?
The main impact for me is confidence in how to run an L&D team, how to contribute to strategy and how to manage change. It’s been great to consolidate and refine what I thought I knew. It was a bit like bursting a bubble and starting afresh.
What has been the main impact on YOUR CAREER from studying your CIPD qualification?
I got my current job because they knew I was working on this qualification.
What has been the main impact on YOUR ORGANISATION from studying your CIPD qualification?
I feel that the main impact has been on how I deliver training, the approach I use (I prefer a more cognitive approach) and how I have been able to apply newer research on neuroscience into my planning.
What did you like MOST about the course?
My tutors were incredibly supportive. When I joined, I was out of work for a while and had nobody to be a participant in an observed lesson. Tutors came in to attend and the rest of my cohort helped too. I feel great admiration for every tutor and student, full of a wealth of experience, spending their evenings on this and working hard.
What did you like LEAST about the course?
It took a little while to get my assignment results when there was a busy period,
Thanks for letting us know Iffaf – we prefer not to rush to ensure that we review the full batch and complete our internal verification processes which are so important to maintain our status as a Platinum centre.
What would have most helped to improve your experience?
I had regular tutorials and feedback on everything from my coaches but if you can get students to cooperate in group work or attend meetings it would make a world of difference to the experience.
Thanks for this suggestion Iffaf – we encourage all learners to attend the live sessions wherever possible. We know from experience that the learners who gain the most impact from their course are the ones who engage with the live sessions and complete formative work and embrace the 121 coaching sessions which are included as part of our CIPD Boost programme.
Do you have any other thoughts or feedback you’d like to share with us?
No matter how much you enjoy studying, it is hard work to have a job and study, so you need to stay motivated.
May we use your feedback for marketing purposes?
Yes
