Study Options

How It Works

We have three levels of support package available:

Light

Our Self Study Plus approach is suitable for eligible self paced learners if you prefer to study alone.  You are welcome on live webinars or to use recordings or a combination of both.  We’ll encourage you to follow the group along for your first unit so that you maximise your learning.  You will need to be able to demonstrate you will be able to progress without the full 121 coaching support we offer on CIPD Boost.  Around half the support on our standard ‘Boost’ package so consider the benefit of that extra cost carefully in terms of added value.  You need to be a confident and focussed learner and be able to put in the effort needed to succeed and meet the CIPD requirements on these challenging programmes.  If you are not progressing on this approach, you will be able to buy additional support.  You are welcome to buy extra coaching as you need it.  You can also topup to the enhanced ‘Boost’ package if you would like get more help from your coach. Your learning contract will generally be shorter and we’ll help you to plan your learning programme and support you if you need more help. 

Boost

Our Boost option is our standard support package with a structured timetable, small groups, live webinars, formative development and built in professional coaching.  This is specially designed for you if you want to really learn, progress and accelerate your career.  This is the package that best suits most of our learners.  We take a bit longer than some centres so you get a chance to build your learning as you go.  We want you to be well prepared by the time your assignment needs tackling so it becomes a consolidation of your learning.

This course is designed to be at a realistic pace so that you can still juggle a busy work life and other commitments.  Your coach will support you and your other students as you learn together about how different organisations work.  You will have regular coaching and feedback on your work as you develop your knowledge, skills and behaviour.  We allocate around 3 hours of 121 coaching in each unit via a combination of feedback on your practice written work and 121 coaching sessions.  You’ll also build a great network of people professionals to stay in touch with long after your programme is completed.  You may start with a single taster unit and upgrade or study unit by unit perhaps to boost your learning on a particular topic if you wish..

You may choose from the full Boost option or study without the extra 121 coaching support if you are a strong and confident learner.  We are happy to advise on your call if you’d like support to choose your support package.  

Turbo 

The CIPD Boost option suits most people so choose that if you want flexibility, support and some personalise coaching during your programme.  Our Turbo option may be for you if you want a fully personalised programme and to know that you have more one to one coaching support available throughout your studies.  For example you may want to progress faster or achieve a higher grade, eg a Distinction and know you may need some help to do that.  You may not have studied for a long time and want to choose a higher level programme than might be ideal.  This is also the option to choose if you prefer additional guidance via a competence assessed approach – the CIPD Tailored option.  For example you may like some support with your CIPD experience assessment application.  We allocate around 6 hours of coaching for each unit.  You can choose this option for just one unit if you are particularly struggling at any point.
